With the year drawing to a close and the holiday period fast approaching, it’s a great time to take a breath and refresh for the year ahead. However, business must go on during this time and here at Over the Wire we wanted to share some important information about our embargo period, office shut down dates and information for our PBX customers regarding updating phone systems with holiday-specific recordings or routing rules to ensure we can continue to support your BAU functions.
Over the Wire’s Embargo Period: 13th December 2019 to 13th January 2020.
Due to carrier-wide embargos, orders and number ports will be delayed during the embargo period and may also be delayed for a few weeks afterwards as the backlog is processed by our carrier partners. OTW’s Service Delivery will operate with a skeleton staff during the embargo period to process any active and emergency deployments. We’ll make sure to let you know of any potential impact to your orders in the lead up to the embargo period. In preparation for this holiday shut-down, we encourage any of our PBX customers needing holiday-specific changes made to their services to email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements as soon as possible. If you are wanting IVR messages changed on your PBX, please ensure you attach the appropriate files and include clear instructions of how you want the new routing to operate, along with start and end dates for these changes.
Office Shut-Down: 23/12 – 6/01
The bulk of our staff will be taking a well-earned break from 23 December to 6 January. OTW’s NOC will continue to operate throughout the holiday period and will be available 24 x 7, though our Provisioning team will have a skeleton staff for any emergency deployment issues for active deployments, and our Sales and Billing teams will not be operating. Noting resource and industry embargo factors, the focus during this period will be maintenance of your services. Should you require any specific changes, we recommend you send requests in advance to ensure resources are available. Any unscheduled change requests may result in extended delays or additional costs.
Normal operations will return from Monday 6 January 2020.
